Cedar and wood privacy fences
Board-on-board and solid-panel cedar fencing for backyards, side yards and property lines. Wood suits Vancouver character homes, takes stain or a natural finish, and gives the most privacy per dollar. We set posts and frame the runs to handle Lower Mainland rain and grade changes.
Metal and aluminum fencing
Powder-coated aluminum and metal fencing for pool surrounds, front yards and anywhere a fence needs to stay open and low-maintenance. It will not rot or warp, needs only an occasional wash, and can be matched to the railings on your deck.
Custom gates
Single and double gates built to match the fence line — walk-through garden gates, wide gates for mowers and trailers, and driveway gates. Hardware and posts are sized to the gate so it keeps swinging square over the years.
Planning a fence in Vancouver
- Height rules vary. Most municipalities in the Lower Mainland limit front-yard fence height more strictly than rear yards, so we confirm the local bylaw for your address before building.
- Wet-coast materials. Cedar handles Vancouver rain far better than untreated softwood; aluminum avoids rot and rust entirely where you want minimal upkeep.
- Slopes and grade. Sloped yards are either stepped or racked — we pick the approach that keeps the fence line looking deliberate rather than patched.
- Gates first. Where the gates go affects post spacing along the whole run, so we plan access before setting the line.
